Postsecondary
Community colleges are critical to building America’s workforce. NCCER provides accreditation, curricula and credentials that make it easy for colleges to build the programs their local employers are looking for.
NCCER for Postsecondary
NCCER provides a comprehensive workforce development system that can help colleges increase enrollments and get their students hired after program completion.
Accreditation
NCCER is the accrediting body for the construction industry. Our accreditation process includes director and manager training along with instructor, proctor and performance evaluator certification programs.
Curriculum
Our vast portfolio of craft modules provides colleges with the ability to utilize pre-designed programs or design their own. Each module is competency based and includes a knowledge and performance test that results in a stackable credential. Our curriculum is developed in conjunction with subject matter experts from across the United States and aligns with other industry-recognized credentials like OSHA 10, AWS SENSE and HVAC Excellence.
Our print and online programs allow organizations to offer in-person, hybrid, or virtual courses. All of our curriculum titles are available online through NCCERconnect, a customized learning management system, or in VitalSource as eText.
Credentials
NCCER maintains an online secure database that houses each individual’s completions and provides them with credentials, digital badges, transcripts, and wallet cards. These credentials are industry-recognized and verifiable online for employers looking to hire qualified individuals.
Enrollment opportunities
Colleges accredited by NCCER can sponsor local high schools that want to provide construction career and technical education programs. This type of relationship provides colleges with the opportunity to build feeder programs to boost the number of individuals interested in continuing their education at their institution.
In addition, our CareerStarter tool provides colleges with a way to connect to high school students from across the U.S. who are interested in continuing their construction education.
