News Brief: West Virginia Now Accepts NCCER Mobile Crane Operator Certification

08/11/2021 Press Release

News Brief

Effective June 16, 2021, West Virginia repealed their state crane operator license requirement, per the Crane Operator Certification Act. Employers must now ensure all crane operators are trained, certified/licensed and evaluated according to federal OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1926.1427 Subpart CC.

As NCCER’s Mobile Crane Operator Certification Program consists of assessments and practical examinations that meet or exceed current ASME B30.5 consensus safety standards and OSHA 29 CFR part 1926 Subpart CC, NCCER’s Mobile Crane Operator Certification is now accepted by West Virginia.
